Support Engineer: Datacenter, IMAC, ServiceNow, Troubleshooting - (RL7581)

Our Global Enterprise client is hiring a Support Engineer with Datacentre experience to provide 3rd Level Hardware break fix to client's HPE X86 estate.

Start Date: End of Oct 2024
Duration: 103 days (initially)
Pay Rate: £149/day (PLEASE NOTE: Employer NI is paid for by the client)
Total Daily Earnings: £167/day (includes rolled up holiday)
IR35 Status: Inside
Location: Macmerry

NOTE: Active SC Clearance is highly desirable.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Providing full iMac service (install/Decom/Moves) across both client's DC's leveraging the customer and manufactures tools, such as Part surfer, Intelligent provisioning, CMDB, ServiceNow.
  • Providing a smart hands service to client's IT Security team, across all of their Datacentre located kit, from initial troubleshooting up to replacing the entire unit through a RMA process, then installing and providing base configuration for the replacement device to allow IT Security to obtain remote access.
  • Providing Tape Management (Ejects/loads) for the Remote Backup team.
  • Ideally looking for someone with Datacentre experience.

  • Flexible approach and ability to work co-operatively within a newly created team environment
  • Should be a self-starter and be able to perform quality assurance and control to create technical deliverables that are error free/with minimal non-functional defects.
  • Experience in operationally supporting large, complex technical environment.
  • Methodical and structured in their approach to tasks.
  • Capability to organise and prioritise tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish/maintain relationships and interact with team members
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
