Data Center Engineer - Europe - Remote
As a pivotal member within our IT infrastructure division, the Data Center Expert will assume responsibility for crafting, executing, and upholding the integrity of our data center environments.
Responsibilities:
- Data Center Design and Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate business requirements and devise scalable and efficient data center solutions.
- Infrastructure Deployment and Care: Set up and manage data center hardware, encompassing Servers, storage, and networking devices.
- Capacity Management: Monitor and assess data center resource utilization to predict capacity needs and strategize for future expansion.
- Security and Regulatory Compliance: Implement and uphold security protocols to safeguard data center assets and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Troubleshooting and Incident Management: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly.
- Performance Enhancement: Enhance data center performance through ongoing monitoring, fine-tuning, and proactive identification of bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with other IT departments to optimize processes and enhance overall system performance.
- Documentation and Training: Maintain thorough documentation of data center configurations, protocols, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Prior experience with fundamental data center interdependencies across various domains and their associated ramifications.
- Comprehensive understanding of data center technologies, functionality, and rudimentary design principles. Proficiency in interpreting construction diagrams and familiarity with ITIL and service operation within data center contexts.
- Basic comprehension of data center governance and service management is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English is required.
