IT Infrastructure Manager - Permanent - £95,000 - £100,000 - London, Hybrid

I am working with a technology-driven, Lloyd's Market Insurer, who are urgently looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager to lead their infrastructure team. With global presence, their footprint spans across London, Bermuda, and Australia. As part of the wider operations team, you will be responsible for managing the service delivered to staff across these locations.

*Whilst insurance sector experience is preferred, experience from other financial services will be considered*

You'll be a significant lead and manager, overseeing and delivering technology designs, implementation, and maintenance to help the enhancement of the business' Cloud and Infrastructure services including network, storage, server and cloud solutions.

Technical responsibilities:

• Maintain the development and Test systems, ensuring they are kept in sync with production.
• Solve technical issues within UK office whilst liaising with Bermuda IT staff.
• accordingly, identifying solutions and resolutions to the technical issues
• Monitoring and development of platform health and the implementation of effective disaster recovery
• Proactively keep up to date with industry trends and suggest improvements
• Managing vulnerability management, confirming all infrastructure items are up to date with all necessary software patches and updates.

Service Management responsibilities:

• Lead proactively resolving all infrastructure related service incidents
• Assist in guidance on the best way to make use the company's infrastructure whilst providing regular feedback
• Leading and managing the infrastructure team in the delivery of documentations regarding infrastructure changes
• Log all infrastructure related issues and update service desk tickets frequently

Experience and knowledge

• Good understanding of networking principles as applied to LAN, WAN and Cloud configurations
• Must have been involved in Cloud Migrations
• ITIL knowledge
• Strong experience of Azure cloud and Microsoft Active Directory knowledge
• Knowledge of VMware Virtual server and SAN technologies
• Able to effectively support and communicate with VIPs, Board members and Senior management.
