Due of the nature of the work within financial services candidates must obtain BPSS clearance. Role is remote with candidates having a UK LTD company. Please note the role is 1 days per week onsite in London/4 days remote.

Skills

  • Utilize Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine
  • Employ Kubernetes for orchestration
  • Implement Istio Service Mesh
  • Implement Terraform at a large scale
  • Apply GitOps principles for cluster and application management
  • Utilize Bazel for building tools supporting application development
  • Program in Go for tooling development
  • Proficient in relational database technology, particularly Postgres
  • Knowledgeable in distributed systems architectures, failure modes, and mitigations
  • Experience with distributed message and event streaming systems, such as Kafka
  • Familiarity with various cloud-native technologies, including observability tooling and SLOs/SLAs management
  • Adherence to industry-accepted cybersecurity best practices, including secure-by-design implementation, incident detection, monitoring, and remediation
  • Understanding of low-level systems concepts, including DNS, Unix operating systems, and computer networking fundamentals
  • Strong theoretical understanding of computer science, including algorithms and data structures
