Network Engineer (Contract)
Location: Worcester, Worcestershire, England Country: UK Rate: £400 per day
 

Network Engineer - £400/day Inside IR35 - 3-month Contract - Worcester (Hybrid) - SCC FLEX CONTRACT

We are currently seeking a Network Engineer to be part of a project focused on decommissioning a data centre, helping with HPE technologies in place that require decommissioning.

As the suitable Network Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborate with the Networking team to plan and execute the decommissioning of Legacy HPE devices.
  • Ensure proper removal and disposal of old networking equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers as needed.
  • Document and report progress on decommissioning activities.
  • Assist with testing and validation of network changes post-decommissioning.

As the right Network Engineer, you will have:

  • Previous experience with decommissioning data centres is essential.
  • Proficiency in working with HPE Comware (FlexFabric Switches) for network configuration and management.
  • Experience with EVPN and VXLAN technologies.
  • Familiarity with MPLS WAN.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
