Senior DevOps Engineer - Platform Team - Infrastructure background - AWS - Kubernetes - Terraform

Permanent- up to £120,000 + Benefits, Bonus.* Hybrid working, 3 days office

My client is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team in London. You will come from an infrastructure background with strong hands-on technical skills and experience deploying AWS Cloud technology and on-premise Kubernetes environments.

Responsibilities include:

• You will introduce new technology to improve the speed, efficiency and reliability of their platform and you will tune existing tools to improve their developer experience.
• You will drive the automation of the development and deployment processes via a range of new technologies and techniques including increasing the adoption of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.

Skills and experience required:

• AWS cloud technology deployments (Lambda, EC2, VPC, EKS, S3, RDS)
• Proven experience building Kubernetes clusters with Terraform
• Strong Terraform experience (created or edited your own modules)
• Demonstrable understanding of security best practices
• Production monitoring and alerting of micro-service-based systems
• Linux and associated Scripting languages (preferably Python, bash, PowerShell, etc.)
• Load balancing and HTTP services
• High-availability clustering solutions
• Technology you will be exposed to: Kubernetes, EKS, Rancher, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ELK, Jenkins, CI/CD, VMware, Networks, Prometheus, Grafana, Hashicorp Suite, Git, GitOps, NGINX, etc
