Operating Model Implementation Manager (Contract)

Location: Warwick, Warwickshire Country: UK Rate: £600 - £650 per day

Role: Operating Model Implementation Manager

Duration: 6 months

Rate: £650 per day (Inside IR35, via Umbrella)

Location: Wokingham or Warwick (Hybrid) 2-3 days a week in Office

My client is the electricity system operator for Great Britain, making sure that Great Britain has the essential energy it needs by ensuring supply meets demand every second of every day. They are in the process of becoming a separate entity from the parent company. They are looking for an Operating Model Implementation Manager to roll out the new IT platform, someone who can set up the platform from scratch.

Job role:

The DD&T (Digital Data and Technology) Operating Model Implementation Manager plays a crucial role in driving the successful implementation of processes, capabilities and people to execute the new technology services and platforms that the client will need to execute as it transitions from the parent companies provided capabilities.

They are responsible for developing and executing plans to ensure the smooth transition from the current operating model to new. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a strong understanding of organizational and technology processes in a Digital Dev/Sec/Ops environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute implementation plans for new operating models, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define scope, and establish timelines and milestones and required resources to support execution.
  • Design and document new operating models, including processes, workflows, and organizational structures.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to secure necessary resources, support, and buy-in for the implementation process.
  • Lead and oversee the implementation of new operating models, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines and business readiness to accept the change.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of implemented operating models, identifying areas for further enhancement.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members involved in the implementation process, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to key stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of implemented operating models, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a technology related field. Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Proven experience in implementing operating models, process improvement, or organizational change management.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, coordinate, and execute complex projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in using project management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in technology operating model design and implementation.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve project goals.
