Job Title: User Experience Designer
12 months Inside IR35 contract
Location: London - Hybrid
Job Summary:
User Experience Designers play a key role in our growing team. They join a highly collaborative and creative area responsible for designing world-class digital products and services. The role holder is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of their assigned work packages on time, within budget, and to the agreed level of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Product Design Expertise:
Deliver key digital product design projects under the direction of Experience Design Leads and the Head of Experience Design.
Collaborate with Product Managers and other stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities for the end-to-end experience of a digital service.
Deliver research, design activities, and artefacts.
Contribute to a shared future vision for the experience of a service.
Work alongside multi-disciplinary teams throughout the design process, from discovery to delivery.
Hands-On Expertise:
Visual design and interaction design.
Front End coding and rapid prototyping experience is beneficial.
Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of specified work packages in collaboration with stakeholders and teams across and third-party suppliers to ensure key customer projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed standards of quality.
Sketching, creating visual design mock-ups, developing standards & guidelines, and delivering design assets.
Mapping experiences, creating wireframes, user journeys, and prototypes at different levels of fidelity and interactivity.
Reviewing existing research, planning, and conducting primary research and user testing activities.
Contribute directly to the development of experience design centre of excellence.
Apply advanced design methodologies to develop informed experience design strategies and principles that align and complement T&D strategies.
Provide expert guidance to stakeholders throughout projects, from helping shape visions to providing narratives for proposed designs.
Include stakeholders during testing/acceptance to maximize customer satisfaction.
Provide design subject matter expertise and insights to product managers.
Ensure roadmaps are optimally informed and that user needs and behaviors are sufficiently provisioned for during roadmap development and product change initiatives.
Represent user needs, including those not explicitly defined by users (eg, behavioral traits).
Contribute to the maturity of the design team through optimal knowledge management.
Essential:
Proven experience in digital product design.
Strong skills in visual design and interaction design.
Ability to deliver research, design activities, and artefacts.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams throughout the design process.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Desirable:
Experience in Front End coding and rapid prototyping.
Background in conducting primary research and user testing activities.
Familiarity with advanced design methodologies and principles.
