Job Summary

Cloud Operations Engineer to work in BAU topics across a multi cloud environment and support Cloud project work and move to cloud tasks. It is 2/3 days a month in the office role.

Required: -

• Experienced with infrastructure as code and deployment automation.
• Strong experience with writing infrastructure as code with any of CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation (or other equivalent).
• Strong experience with automated deployment tooling with any of AWS Code Pipeline/Build (etc), Azure DevOps.
• Very good understanding of multiple cloud services in AWS and or Azure.
• Experience with design of cloud solutions in AWS and or Azure.
• Reasonable familiarity with Servers operating systems, networking, data stores, databases, and identity access management.
• Certification in cloud computing to at least associate or equivalent level in AWS, Azure.

Role and Responsibilities

• Experience in Developing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) automation (eg, Terraform) to create IaC patterns and modules to provide acceleration to development end users.
• Utilize modern software DevOps and CI/CD tooling, such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, etc., to provision infrastructure resources and prevent configuration drift.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless continuous integration of code and deployment as well as promoting disciplined code versioning practices.
• Familiarity and experience with Terraform and state management.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and other stakeholders to ensure cloud technologies are designed in accordance with product roadmaps and well architected frameworks.
• Investigate and resolve complex cloud infrastructure related issues and recommend and develop solutions to issues and create documentation of reengineering processes as required.
• Participate in IT Service Management (ITSM) change, incident, and general requests for cloud platform support for business as usual (BAU) operations.
• Contribute to cloud operation disciplines and improve processes and own such as OS lifecycle management, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, certificate management, and technical documentation etc.
