We are seeking and experienced Category Sourcing Expert who will be responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies to leverage relationships across the enterprise to achieve best total value. The role includes category management strategies and execution, supplier relationship management, negotiation, risk management and supply base performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies across assigned categories to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end sourcing process, including supplier identification, selection, and negotiation.
  • Conduct license negotiations with vendors to secure terms and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage contract lifecycle activities, including drafting, reviewing, and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies.
  • Utilise the Ariba platform to manage procurement processes, including sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance tracking.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements through effective supplier relationship management.
  • Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to inform sourcing strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in category sourcing, with a focus on license negotiation and contract management.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
  • Experience using Ariba or other procurement platforms.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
