BI Engineer (Contract)

Business Intelligence Engineer (Power BI)

  • Location: Utrecht, Netherlands
  • Startdate: ASAP (1st of May)
  • Contract: 12 months (option to extend)
  • 40 hours a week (3 days remote & 2 days onsite)

Join our Squad as a Business Intelligence Developer, specializing in Power BI. You will become part of Tribe External Reporting, which is responsible for submitting the required regulatory reports to our regulators. In your role you will be a key contributor to transforming regulatory financial data into reports that provide our Tribe with an excellent analytical insight in the figures we report to our regulators. The Squad you will join is responsible for transforming data for the rest of the Tribe enabling key analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Business Intelligence solutions to enable excellent analysis on our regulatory reports and empower improving the data quality, by providing a solution based on PowerBI and SQL.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand and analyze regulatory reporting needs.
  • Create and optimize data visualizations to convey complex regulatory information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Stay informed about evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to financial data reporting.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of PowerBI and SQL, preferably AzureSQL & Synapse Analytics
  • Demonstrated experience in developing reports and dashboards using PowerBI, emphasizing the visualization of financial regulatory data.
  • Basic understanding of the Azure Cloud including design, implement, and optimize data solutions on the Azure cloud platform, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Hands-on experience in Azure Data components such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse.
  • Excellent knowledge of ADF building components Integration Runtime, Linked Services, Data Sets, Pipelines Activities.
  • Orchestrated data integration pipelines in ADF using various Activities.
  • Experience being part of a scrum-based Squad
  • Experience working in the financial industry is an advantage
  • Familiarity with Azure Synapse is highly advantageous, highlighting expertise in cloud-based data solutions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional Squad, communicating on complex regulatory concepts with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity in financial services is highly advantageous
