Description We are seeking a skilled Power BI Reporting Specialist to join our team as we embark on setting up a new reporting system with extensive use of Power BI. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Power BI and possess the ability to contribute to this project with minimal training. This role involves report requirements collection and definition, report design, and creating reports in Power BI based on user input. Additionally, the candidate may be tasked with more technical aspects of the reporting system setup.

Report Requirements Collection & Definition:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and requirements.

Document and prioritize report requirements, ensuring clarity and completeness.

Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, translating requirements into actionable tasks.

Design visually appealing and informative reports and dashboards in Power BI.

Create data models and develop data visualizations that effectively convey insights.

Ensure data accuracy and consistency in reporting.

Develop reports and dashboards in Power BI based on the defined requirements.

Utilize Power BI best practices to optimize report performance and maintainability.

Implement data transformations and ETL processes when necessary.

Assist in the technical setup of the reporting system, including data source integration and data pipeline development.

Troubleshoot technical issues related to Power BI reports and data sources.

Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data availability and quality.

Proven experience in designing and creating reports and dashboards using Power BI.

Strong understanding of data visualization best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to gather and convey reporting requirements.

Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.

Knowledge of data modeling concepts.

Familiarity with data integration and ETL processes is a plus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
