Summary

The Compliance Generalist will be responsible for compliance activities specific to High-Risk areas. Such activities may involve monitoring, auditing, advising and researching content specific to the High-Risk area. While the subject matter will change from year to year, a prevailing example is 340B and Primary Care Compliance. The compliance generalist will also support other activities that take place across the market and ministry.

Essential Job Functions

  • The Compliance Generalist will work closely on identified High-Risk areas with the Corporate Responsibility Leadership. This may include processes and systems to investigate, monitor, track and report operational compliance, support compliance awareness and training, and promote a culture of compliance across the organization (both within a market and across the ministry).

  • Within the specified High-Risk areas, the Compliance Generalist acts as the compliance lead on investigations, corrective action plans, and remediation validation. The execution of duties may require direct interaction with employees, downstream entities, industry groups, or regulators.

  • Serves as an initial point of contact for any reports of potential non-compliance with the specified High-Risk area.

  • Work collaboratively with other Compliance Generalist to develop reports, mitigation plans and risk assessments related to the specified High-Risk areas.

  • Upon completion of the yearly Work Plan, the Compliance Generalist will identify residual risks associated with the subject matter and advise as to the need of continued monitoring and auditing.

  • Assist with monitoring of and responding to inquiries and referrals made via the CR Hotline (Values Line).

  • Assist with annual review and update of corporate compliance policies and procedures.

  • Supports regional Compliance Officers as requested.

  • Assists in responding to inquiries relating to non-compliance of the Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education
  • Bachelors

  • Specialty/Major - Law, Healthcare operations, business

Preferred Education
  • Advanced degree

  • Specialty/Major - Law degree, master's degree in business administration (MBA), masters in healthcare operations

Licensure/Certification Preferred:

Certified in Healthcare Compliance

Minimum Years and Type of Experience

0-5 Years of experience in healthcare compliance

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Knowledge of healthcare systems

  • Knowledge of Healthcare laws

Patient Population
