The Senior Actuarial Analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining and analyzing sales data, providing actionable insights to stakeholders, including Senior Management. This role is instrumental in driving our mission of leveraging data to inform business decisions and improve our life insurance products. Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of LIMRA sales reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and internal submissions.

  • Produce executive-facing Daily Production Reports and maintain related Excel workbooks, VBA macros, and SQL queries.

  • Maintain and improve sales data in the Essbase cube and Product Analytics database, sourced from various systems and vendors.

  • Update and enhance key monthly reporting deliverables for stakeholders using Excel workbooks and SQL queries.

  • Conduct monthly forecasting exercises and collaborate with senior leadership to set forecasts for multiple business groups.

  • Fulfill ad hoc data analysis requests for the Product Development team and other teams, including Senior Management.

  • Collaborate with Advanced Analytics and other teams to address Business Intelligence and analytics challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-10 years of experience in data management and manipulation.

  • Strong Microsoft SQL skills (other database/programming experience is a plus).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including common functions, pivot tables, macros, and VBA.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent.

  • Understanding of life insurance products (technical understanding is a plus).

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to various audiences.

  • Ability to translate ideas into clearly defined action plans.

  • Track record of thriving under tight deadlines.

Salary range is expected to be between

$68,475.00 USD - $114,125.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
