Introduction

The Design Engineering (DE) team develops flightworthy, safety-critical electronic hardware, power supplies, Embedded software, and magnetics for Aerospace and military customers. We are a co-located team of electrical, mechanical, software, test, and project management engineers under one manager. These DE disciplines develop requirements, produce detailed designs, qualify, document, develop test equipment for, and help establish production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize a variety of electronic test and analysis equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital and analog meters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analysis instruments.

  • Assist electronics design engineers from initial design through prototype development of magnetics and power electronics assemblies.

  • Test and troubleshoot breadboard and prototype assemblies.

  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits and determine potential circuit changes as required.

  • Work with internal personnel and customers to identify the root cause of a failure.

  • Provide technical support for the Engineering Department when electrical issues are elevated from Production & Depot Engineers & Technicians.

  • Conduct internal failure analysis (electrical/performance issues) and coordinate with outside labs and other resources as required.

  • Generate and proof test procedures.

  • Generate and maintain engineering logs and test results.

  • Design and construct test equipment.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

Core Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in an engineering discipline or equivalent.

  • Experience with switch mode power supply circuitry and familiarity with Military standards relating to the design and manufacture of Military electronics equipment.

  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and recommend solutions to circuit problems.

  • Knowledge of basic computer programs.

  • Commitment to work with a hands-on approach in a team atmosphere.

  • This position requires the use of information subject to ITAR. All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • BSEE, Technical preferred.
