What You Will Do:

As a Computer System Analyst you will be (1) maintaining and improving existing IT systems focused on supporting Health and research programs (2) Working with stakeholders to determine operational needs (3) Designing new IT Solutions/functionalities using existing and emerging technology platforms to improve efficiency and effectivenes as needed. Systems typically supported from this role use .NET C#and integrate with SQL databases. The candidate must be able to work well independently or as part of a larger team.

Job Duties:

. Responsible for system detailed design, and development of proof-of-concepts for application scenarios using Microsoft.NET framework and SQL Server.

. Interacts with project sponsors to provide implementation direction and effort estimation.

. Work independently or as part of a larger team throughout the software development life cycle

. Provides analysis, technical leadership, and programming expertise to the design, development and testing of complex applications in a Microsoft .NET technology environment.

. Establishes and promotes project development standards.

. Design and interpret System Requirements, UML Class diagrams, Use Cases, and Sequence diagrams

. Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems.

. Consult with stakeholders to ensure agreement on system principles.

. Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flow.

. Train staff and users to work with computer systems and programs.

. Define the goals of the system and devise flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational steps of programs.

. Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.

. Work as part of a team throughout the software development life cycle

. Collaborate with designers and analysts to implement enhancements or new applications

. Develop code to meet user story acceptance criteria

. Debug, test and fix errors

. Participate on a team of full stack engineers and testers

. Conduct design and code review to ensure compliance with standards

. 3+ years of development experience using .NET technologies.

. Strong knowledge of .NET framework 4.X

. Proficient in coding using C#

Desired Skills:

. Experience as Technical Lead on a minimum of two successful projects utilizing N-tier architecture and Microsoft.NET framework

. Experience with systems analysis, design, and development

. Experience with MS Visual Studio

. Strong interpersonal skills

. Experience writing SQL for Microsoft SQL Server

. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming

. Experience with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and JQuery

. Familiarity with 508 compliances

. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development

. Strong foundation in technical concepts such as Software Configuration Management (SCM) and Software Quality Assurance (SQA)

. Adhere to coding standards and develop well-structured, maintainable and easy to understand code

. Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines

. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are required

. Strong problem solving and critical thinking

Years of Experience: 3-4 year experience conducting and/or supporting IT projects

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
