Job Summary
Provides legal assistance to corporate attorneys. Acts as liaison between company attorneys, outside counsel, organizations and in-house employees. Assembles, proofs and edits drafts of legal documentation. Assists internally in analyzing documents. Prepares and files legal documents with appropriate entities, as required. Conducts research on projects as directed by corporate attorneys. May review and ensure the company's compliance with regulations.
Coordinate immigration process for foreign national employees in need of visas. Under the direction of a Sprint attorney, process paperwork and act as primary point of contact for foreign national employees in need of visas, outside counsel and human resources for all employment immigration-related matters. Track status for all visa holders and communication status to appropriate Sprint personnel. Assist in developing and conducting training sessions for managers, foreign national employees and human resources.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
  • Thorough understanding of DOL and USCIS procedures for H-1B visas and permanent residency applications, record-keeping requirements and knowledge of DOL/USCIS enforcement activities
  • Two years employment immigration experience
  • Advanced computer processing/database management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to work with diverse multicultural groups. Sensitivity to cultural differences
  • Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree and two years related work experience or six years related work experience post high school
    • Two years experience working within the legal field
    • Two years experience editing and proofreading legal documents
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Current paralegal certification
