Looking for a Financial Developer/Engineer Professional that has Python Backend Developement

Salary: $100-120k

Location: McLean, VA

1-2 years plus hard core Back End Server Side development in Python, Bs-CS or masters, need to want to work in financial area, key will work with data scientists and machine learning people to design and implement high quality production solutions, any C++ is a big plust, hands on development, any DevOps a plus, lots and lots of python librarys

Design, develop and support systems within the financial modelling and research area. Design and develop new code and review existing code changes to ensure standard technology development practices are met. Assist in the operational execution of software solutions to assist with the monitoring and control of market and credit risks. Assist with application development and modifying and/or maintaining applications. Demonstrate knowledge of development tools and languages. May assist other areas of financial research and engineering when defining requirements for systems applications. College Degree or equivalent experience; work towards advanced studies/degree preferred. Typically has more than 3 years of functional and industry experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's
A minimum 2 years of software development experience

Solid understanding of software engineering principles such as design, unit testing, continuous integration and deployment

Experience working with Python

Exposure to scientific computing libraries such as pandas, NumPy, SciPy

Knowledge of Java, C, C++, SAS, Linux

Exposure to Big Data technologies in the Hadoop ecosystem such as HDFS, MapReduce, Spark and Hive

Familiarity with linear algebra, regression analysis and machine learning techniques
