Job Description:
This position works with the Clinical Quality and Patient Safety department, clinical leadership, and administrative teams to analyze clinical information at the point of care and support health providers as they make decisions.

This individual is responsible for retrieval, organization and interpretation of data as it relates to meeting key quality and safety objectives. This position will also develop, maintain and distribute key performance indicator reports based on the frequency outlined by the organizational goals or the key constituents' request.

Core Competencies
Serves as an active liaison with Fairview IT, linking IT and operations in data requests, workflow analysis, and issue resolution
This position leads and/or facilitates projects through customer and IT requirements gathering, model requirements, business specifications, scope development, solution specifications, and post implementation assessments
This position is also responsible for development, build, implementation, modification, and testing of complex reports based upon business needs
Provides mentoring and training for less experienced team members and customers
Must have strong customer service, leadership, facilitation, organization, prioritization, analytical, and communication skills
Must be proficient in the Epic data model, SQL, and Excel (and other tools as required)

Epic Clarity and Workbench Reporting
Facilitates the design and creation of reports and data extraction programs for applications
Troubleshoots, debugs, designs functional requirements, creates and modifies reports, according to specifications
Assesses the correct tool needed to complete the data request in a Clarity or Reporting Workbench report through investigation, analysis and evaluation

Job Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Business, Finance Health Care Management or related field

Preferred Education:
Master Degree in related fields

Minimum Experience:
5 + years of progressive data analysis and reporting, and database management experience, preferably in health care
Strong analytical skills

Preferred Experience:
Ability to analyze large amounts of data, comprehend relationships and identify trends/issues/opportunities
Extensive experience working with MS Office especially Excel
Experience in using computer system applications
Experience with SQL, DML and Crystal
Experience with statistical and correlation analysis

Additional Requirements:
Strong analytical and computer skills
Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
Ability to analyze large amounts of data, comprehend relationships and identify trends/issues/opportunities
Experience in using and developing computer systems
Ability to facilitate data group discussions
