Solution Architect (DWH, ETL & Azure) - Utrecht, Netherlands (Contract)

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands Country: Netherlands Rate: TE - EUR500 TO EUR650
 

A Solution Architect with 9-10 years' experience with DWH, ETL and Azure experience for a 6-12 month project based in Eindhoven in the Netherlands paying €500 to €650 a day all -inclusive. The ideal solutions architect will work in a team responsible for the data logistics solution in the lending domain for our Legacy system, but the focus is on developing and maintaining a modern data warehouse. This data warehouse is foundational for the accountability chain towards regulators. Key aspects here are completeness, correctness, lineage and timeliness. Furthermore, our system contributes to realizing a number of important business cases for us. Innovation on both source and target side result in an increasingly dynamic and challenging environment. We embarked in an ambitious Cloud journey with the Enterprise Data Lake, and we, as a team are taking a central role to enable these goals to within Data & Reporting. As a Solution Architect you can make the difference by:

  • Developing and propagating a vision with regards to IT solutions in the data logistics field. You have a strong focus on data warehouse automation. Your vision is built upon the developments within the organization, the technology, and the markets. You can translate the vision into an active and relevant contribution of the IT roadmap.
  • Translating the business architecture into effective, sustainable technical solutions within the given scope while respecting the guidelines. This is where you excel in most!
  • Ensuring that work is carried out in compliance to solution architecture guidelines and that any deviation is recorded and reported.
  • Cultivating relationships among architects, partners and customers and analysts who have similar information needs and manages those relationships to assure effective solutions. Mentor and train key stakeholders, architects, and team members on data integration architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multi-disciplined teams to understand and validate business requirements and design data integration solutions.
  • Assisting and providing direction to co-workers in using new techniques and in solving their more complex technical problems. You challenge the teams to think along and find the best solution while supporting them with your knowledge and experience, helping them to take ownership over IT solutions.
  • Acting as a point of contact for the design issues that arise. This concerns both the further design of the platform and the way in which the data is modeled and enriched.
  • Constantly looking for improvements in the technology used, where automation of the environment is central.
  • Able to take on multiple projects concurrently and manage changes in scope along the way.

Skills

  • Customer focus, collaboration and persuasiveness are essential competences for a Solution Architect.
  • You meet the following requirements regarding knowledge and experience.
  • Bachelor's level degree in information technology
  • 3+ years of experience in a comparable function, preferably in a banking environment
  • Expert knowledge in the credit domain (Solution Architect (DWH, ETL & Azure) - Utrecht, Netherlands mortgages, credits, lending lease, accountability chain to regulators)
  • Expert knowledge of architectural design principles (TOGAF & ArchiMate).
  • Expert knowledge of data warehouse automation
  • Expert knowledge of Datamodelling techniques
  • SQL Scripting
  • Knowledge of ICT infrastructural components (Oracle DB, Exadata, Linux is a plus)
  • Knowledge of ETL tooling (preferably Where cape, or else Informatic Power Center).
  • Preferably Experience in Data Modernization (Migrating to Cloud)
  • Knowledge of IT management processes (life cycle management, release management, etc).
  • Knowledge of capacity and performance management
  • Knowledge and experience with Scrum and DevOps
  • Good understanding of Data Factory, Data Virtualization and Centralized data hub solutions
  • Experience in Monitoring and developing standards and thus strengthening cohesion in the working method within and between teams.
  • Mandatory skills - DWH, ETL, Azure
  • Desired skills - Azure, Cloud Migration
  • Domain - Banking
