Manufacturing Test Engineer

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum 2 years experience developing automated functional test processes for electronic assemblies

  • IDE programming experience in test automation using LabWindows CVI or NI TestStand

  • Programming language experience with emphasis on ANSI C and familiarity with languages such as Python, C++

  • SQL database programming experience for test record and data management

  • Knowledge of analog, digital, and RF circuits

  • General knowledge of statistical process control concepts and use of tools for analysis and reporting

  • Knowledge of industry standard test technologies and methods using test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Signal (Spectrum) Analyzers, Measurement Receivers, Signal Generators, Audio Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and DMMs

  • Written documentation experience such as test specifications, procedures, installation instructions, interconnects, assembly drawings, preventive maintenance

  • Project planning experience

  • Effective communication with the team, interdepartmental stakeholders, and contract manufacturers

  • Active engagement with the team and manager, reporting status while working on objectives

  • Demonstrates leadership skills and self-motivation

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 15% of the time to contract manufacturing sites

Work Environment

  • Onsite in Germantown with quarterly travel to manufacturing sites, mostly domestic

  • Yearly travel to Thailand
