CACI is seeking a Senior Logistics Analyst, who is a Navy Ordnance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the USFFC -NFL program at Norfolk Naval Base, Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge and experience in U.S. Navy ordnance management.

The Ordnance SME will assist the Commander, Naval Surface Forces, Atlantic (CNSL) in force wide ordnance management, training and inspection. You will be responsible for maintaining ordnance audit readiness by facilitating the performance of Management Review Controls (MRCs) by subordinate commands. MRC efforts will include TYCOM selection of audit samples providing to subordinate Unit Supervisors, collection of MRC reviews, and submission of results within the NAVSUP BSC MOP Dashboard. You will also assist in scheduling Shipboard Explosive Safety Inspections, track and correct In-transits, process PRI-03's, Qual Cert letters, and explosive waivers. This position demands excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to interact with a variety of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, analyze, and conduct operational research and audits that are reviewed by a higher-level analyst prior to submission to management

  • Plan and monitor ammunition onloads and offloads for all activities under COMNAVSURFLANT

  • Ensure monthly inspections and reports are uploaded from each activity

  • Utilize various systems including but not limited to Ordnance Information System (OIS) Wholesale, and Training and Operational Readiness Information System (TORIS) for monitoring, tracking and/or reporting

  • Conduct inspections for safe handling of material for specific ships and shore activities

  • Coordinate with ships and shore activities on a daily/monthly basis

  • Validation Review of SOPs, and instructions

  • Ensure compliance with CNSL's policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations and standards.

  • Collaborate with other members of the ordnance team to resolve any issues or challenges that may arise.

  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

  • Provide 2-Star Staff Level products when required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • US Citizen

  • DOD SECRET security clearance (must be current)

  • Eight (8) years of experience in Navy Ordnance and Ordnance Information System (OIS).

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, Management or related business discipline is desired.

  • In lieu of a degree, an additional eight (8) years of experience in Navy supply, inventory management, financial management and the functionality of OIS is acceptable.

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the Ordnance community's policies procedures including but not limited to NAVSUP P-724 Conventional Ordnance Stockpile Management Policies and Procedures, OPNAVINST 8020.14B Department of the Navy Explosives Safety Management Policy Manual, OPNAVINST 8023.24D Navy Personnel Conventional Ammunition and Explosives Handling Qualification and Certification Program, NOSSAINST 8023.12 Shipboard Explosives Safety Inspection Program, and NOSSA M-8023.1 Navy Shipboard Explosives Safety Inspection Program

  • Possess proficiency in Microsoft productivity tools (ex. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrable analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to travel as needed to support project requirements

Desired:

  • The ideal candidate would have experience obtained as a former U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Aviation Ordnanceman/Gunner's Mate who served as an Inventory Accuracy Officer and has significant experience using OIS R/W.

The proposed salary range for this position is

$56,000-$117,500
