As a Billing Analyst your duties will primarily focus on analyzing and processing various billing transactions in accordance with established business rules. This includes researching premium payment exceptions, working closely with stakeholders to resolve billing issues, reviewing system reports, and providing high-quality customer service. As a Billing Analyst your responsibilities will include but aren't limited too:

• Analyze and research premium payment exceptions and determine the appropriate course of action.

• Collaborate with policyholders, account managers, and brokers to resolve billing issues and provide education on our processes.

• Apply premiums that were not processed by the processing center or the online billing system.

• Perform audits on policies to ensure accuracy in premium calculation and payment.

• Analyze policy variances generated by the billing system and seek explanations from relevant parties before applying premiums.

• Review system reports daily to anticipate potential premium billing issues.

• Validate or calculate premium due for customers with incomplete support.

• Research due and unpaid items that are over 90 days and work with relevant parties for resolution.

• Initiate premium refunds resulting from a policy review, formal audit, policy overpayment, or paid beyond policy termination date.

• Consistently provide a high level of service to all customers and resolve customer issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a high-volume premium processing and/or billing operations environment

• Experience in Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge and experience in Auditing

• Skills in Billing Functions

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge and experience in using Aderant

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Proficiency in Costpoint

• CRM management skills
