Network Manager (Permanent)

Location: West Midlands, England Country: UK Rate: £35k - 45k per year
 

Job Title: Network Manager
Purpose: Provide technical IT support for curriculum and administrative users at the Academy.
Reporting to: IT Manager
Liaising with: Teaching and support staff, external suppliers, and Foundation staff.
Disclosure Level: Enhanced

Main Duties:
Develop and maintain Microsoft 365 infrastructure (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
Manage network infrastructure (Servers, Switches, VLANs) and Active Directory.
Support long-term IT strategies and manage equipment ordering/installation.
Maintain email systems (Exchange Online) and user accounts.
Oversee system maintenance, updates, and backups (Internet access, 3CX, etc.).
Liaise with print support to maintain printers and photocopiers.
Manage virtualized server infrastructure (Hyper-V) and support IT projects.
Maintain the Academy website and social media platforms.
Assist in ICT audits and disaster recovery planning.
Design IT training documentation and monitor network performance.
Maintain CCTV systems and collaborate on digital safety initiatives.
Update Academy policies on external platforms.

Additional Duties:
Participate in Academy life, supporting its vision and ethos.
Invigilate examinations and assist in educational visits.
Engage in administrative tasks and Academy meetings.
Support after-school events as needed.

Other Specific Duties:
Pursue personal development and engage in performance management.
Undertake other duties as specified by the line manager.
