DevOps Engineer (Data Platform) (Contract)
Location: London Country: UK Rate: £575 per day
DevOps Engineer (Data Platform) - £575 (outside IR35) - 12-months DevOps Engineer, with strong data platform experience is now required by leading E-commerce client to design and deploy infrastructure to support the development of features across their estate of cloud native software products and services.
The DevOps Engineer will have deep knowledge of the AWS data engineering stack: Kinesis, Redshift, Glue, EMR and be passionate about writing high-quality code that not only solves problems but improves the overall estate.
The role will involve operating and maintaining our client's production systems both in and out of hours as part of their on-call support rota, as-well-as supporting their engineering teams with designing and deploying infrastructure for new feature development. Our client is looking for an individual to be a subject matter expert for all things cloud.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced DevOps Engineer (Data Platform) to join a leading E-commerce company and to set the technical tone for the organisation going forward.
Required - Strong DevOps Engineer experience.
- Strong AWS skills.
- Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes skills.
- Excellent knowledge across the AWS data engineering stack including but not limited to: Kinesis, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Databricks.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle and the role DevOps plays within it.
- Experience working in autonomous agile teams and environments.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Rate: £575 (Outside IR35)
Duration: 12-months
Location: London (1x a week onsite)
