We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to a large-scale data migration project that transitions data from Legacy databases to the AWS cloud. The Software Engineer will work closely with data architects and developers to implement robust, efficient, and secure data migration solutions, ensuring smooth operations and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Development and Implementation:
   • Develop software tools and scripts to automate data migration processes.
   • Build and optimize data pipelines that transfer data securely and efficiently to the AWS cloud.
2. Collaboration and Code Review:
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with project goals.
   • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality coding standards and knowledge sharing.
3. Testing and Validation:
   • Implement unit and integration tests to validate data migration processes.
   • Conduct performance testing to ensure efficient data transfer and high availability.
4. Optimization and Troubleshooting:
   • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the data migration process, optimizing code and infrastructure.
   • Monitor system performance and debug issues as they arise.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Document the development process, design decisions, and solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing.
   • Provide technical updates and progress reports to the Lead Software Architect and other stakeholders.
6. Security and Compliance:
   • Implement security best practices to protect data during migration.
   • Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations and internal standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on data migration or cloud computing.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java
• Experience with data management tools and cloud services (preferably AWS).
• Strong understanding of database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data integration.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
