Grade 7 NHS PACS, RIS and PDMS Business Analyst (Contract)

Location: England Country: UK Rate: £175 - £180 per day
 

My client one of the UK'S leading health trusts are looking for an experienced Business Analyst from a NHS background to work on a medical imagery upgrade project

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicating complex technical issues and risks to non-technical people, requiring the ability to translate technical impacts into a language understood by business areas and to ensure that the communication has been successful.
  • Sensitive negotiations around change in scope and handling the contentious priorities of balancing changing customer needs with the need to deliver to time and budget.
  • Liaise with clients/users to clarify details of complex business requirements; design and identify the data flows to support this business requirement from end-to-end, showing transition processes.
  • Perform basic consulting activities (information gathering, analysis, problem resolution and presentation) in accordance with assignment objectives.
  • Provide expertise and support to professional and project colleagues on use of Business Analysis methods and tools.
  • Resolve customer needs to the application of business analysis techniques; applying these techniques to identify required information characteristics.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Experience in PACS/RIS/PAS projects
  • Familiar with modelling and analysis tools (eg Enterprise Architect), methods and standards (eg UML, BPMN).
  • In-depth knowledge of business modelling techniques and experience in obtaining input from and communicating modelling results to senior managers for agreement.
  • Knowledge of business processes to advise database designers and other application development team members on the details of data structures and associated components.
  • Understanding and knowledge of health service terminology and information requirements
  • Understanding of the NHS development and assurance processes, including the NHS Wales Information Standards Assurance Process.
