Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team on a short-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will be an expert in designing and implementing automation solutions using Node.js, Terraform, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Bash Scripting. This role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently integrate systems and automate processes to enhance our operational workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation scripts and applications using Node.js.
- Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code to provision and manage GCP resources.
- Write and maintain Bash scripts to automate routine tasks and deployments.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
- Troubleshoot and optimize automation processes to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Document automation setups, procedures, and changes for operational continuity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Node.js, specifically in developing automation tools and services.
- Strong expertise in using Terraform for deploying and managing infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency in Bash Scripting and command line utilities.
- Familiarity with cloud services, serverless architectures, and deployment methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in GCP or other cloud technologies.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of additional Scripting languages such as Python.
