Data Analyst (Contract)
Location: Southend-On-Sea Country: UK Rate: Up to £15.98 per annum

Your new role
You will promote, develop and deliver analytical and performance functions through the development and use of performance data and statistical analysis skills.
What you'll need to succeed
- Advanced knowledge of relational data warehouse database design.
- Working knowledge of SSRS Reporting Services, PowerBI and other Business Intelligence software.
- Demonstrable experience of SQL stack in an operational environment (SSMS, SSAS, SSIS, Visual Studio).
- Knowledge of R, Python
- Ability to translate business specifications into a technical database solution.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products and applications. Especially MS Access and MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of .NET framework (Preferably VB.NET)
- Ability to accurately analyse and present numerical information in a user-friendly format, including use of graphical and visual methods
- To work on your own initiative within the overall framework of the post
- Understanding of quantitative research and statistical methods of data analysis
- Ability to think and communicate clearly and to write concisely
- Well organised and systematic approach to work
- Good communicator with effective listening and negotiating skills
- Ability to relate to a wide range of people in the public and independent sector.
- Ability to work with people at all levels of ability and seniority
- Incisive and good decision maker
- Capacity to work creatively
- Good understanding of organisational planning and performance processes
- Good administrative and time management skills
- Logical approach to problem-solving
- Knowledge of methods of performance evaluation and systems for quality assurance
