Azure Architect (Permanent)

Location: Corsham - Hybrid Country: UK
 

We are looking for Azure Architect to work with a Secured Government client

Role Description

You are responsible for creating the right environment for your multidisciplinary team to succeed, helping them to self-organise whilst creating a culture of learning and transparency. You'll be a key part of one of the UK's biggest and most high-profile digital transformation programmes, a once-in-a-generation reform of government products and services.

The ideal candidate would be someone who will not just put together designs but also provide technical leadership to the team to enable the team to successfully deliver the solution up to production.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Experience in architecting, configuring, migrating, implementing, and administering cloud-based Azure Identity and Access Services for large organizations preferably public sector.
  • The ideal candidate should've delivered an Azure AD Cloud based IAM solution and bring forward solid, secure, architecture designs, supporting proper access management, enabling the organization, and supporting the business in a scalable, reliable and secure way.
  • Demonstrable experience building solutions based on zero-trust principles.
  • Proven experience configuring and rolling out the following services on the Azure Active Directory (AAD)
    • Multi-factor authentication and Conditional Access
    • SSO - Single sign on using SAML, Azure PRT
    • SSPR - Self Service Password Reset
    • RBAC - Role Based Access Control
  • Continuously improve Azure AD's performance and health and generate reports to highlight areas for improvement.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining Azure AD Connect.
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate with wider teams in the enterprise, clearly articulate design/architecture with high quality technical documentation.
  • Experience working with product managers and business change teams ensuring the solution meets the user needs and can be rolled out with minimal impact to the business.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex hybrid architecture which includes Azure Identity components integrating with Legacy identity platforms.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud deployment models, strategies and supporting technologies eg, multi-cloud, hybrid-cloud etc
  • Cloud Native principles and supporting technologies eg, Microservices, DevOps, Containers & CI/CD
  • Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery procedures, design and documentation.
  • Able to provide technical leadership and guide a development team to build solution according to the design.
  • Customer-centric approach to capturing, prioritising, refining and meeting requirements using Agile delivery techniques and GDS standards.
  • Experience with other Identity Management platforms preferable (eg, NetIQ, Forgerock, Oracle IDM/IAM, Sailpoint, etc.)

Areas of architecture and design experience

  • Identity life cycle processes and workflows
  • Identity integration by mapping/transforming from source systems via database or flat file interfaces
  • Directory configuration and tools (eg, Active Directory, LDAP)
  • Identity provisioning
  • User management and administration tools
  • User interface customisation
  • Workflow design and configuration (eg approval workflows)
  • Access governance, access reviews and reporting
  • Log management, analysis and reporting
  • Federated access methods, such as SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect
  • Multi-factor authentication
  • Experience in large scale integration projects involving identity and access management, web-services and distributed systems
  • Experience of designing solutions to operate on Cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure
  • Agile development methods - Scrum, Kanban, TDD, BDD, etc.
