Software Test Engineer (Contract)
Location: Bristol Country: UK Rate: £375 - 390 per day
Software Test Engineer Weston Super Mare £390 per day - Outside IR355 month contract
Predominantly remote with occasional travel to site as required Skills required:- Awareness and/or experience of the full test life cycle of Requirements analysis, creating and designing Test Cases, Test Tools/Equipment/Documentation, Executing the tests on a product, Defect Capture and Analysis and Reporting throughout.
- MS Windows and Linux OS environment.
- Experience in application of test process through a hardware and software development life cycle.
- Relevant programming language experience, eg C++, Java
- Significant relevant experience of testing Web Based and Embedded systems.
- Solid manual testing experience, including writing and executing test scripts.
- Experience of testing a variety of applications.
- Experience of issue tracking tools - ideally JIRA.
- Experience of both Agile and Waterfall development.
- SDLC (full life cycle) experience.
- Experience of User Acceptance Testing.
Duties:- Works with development staff to design and run tests to ensure that products are of the highest quality possible.
- Generates reports and documentation associated with testing.
- Advises on, and assists with the implementation of improvements to test processes
- Generates reports and documentation associated with testing.
- Management of defects and change using systems such as JIRA.
