Summary
As IT Service Management Transition lead at our fintech company, you will lead the development of the strategy and execution of transition to our target state for IT infrastructure and application services to support and enhance business operations. This role involves overseeing the development, optimisation, and maintenance of IT systems and platforms critical to financial operations and customer-facing platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management and enhancement of IT infrastructure, network systems, data centers, and application platforms.
  • Work with leadership to ensure the application and support teams are developing, deploying, and managing software solutions that align with business needs, focusing on innovation in financial technology.
  • Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of all business-critical applications and platforms.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive IT policies and procedures, including those for cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and external partners to ensure they meet their contractual obligations and support the company's technology needs effectively.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for IT operations and applications development, focusing on cost efficiency and ROI.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within IT teams to support fintech operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Report on IT operations and applications' performance to executive management with insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead on the design and transition of a new platform into service ensuring all of the above objectives are met.

Key Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years in IT operations with a significant focus on applications management, ideally in a fintech or financial services environment.
  • Proven experience in leading IT application development, including secure, high-availability financial platforms.
  • Strong background in managing IT operations and project portfolios with a track record of driving technological advancements.
  • Experience with financial applications, compliance, and regulatory environments is highly desirable.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to drive team performance and foster innovation.
  • Strong strategic planning and management skills with an emphasis on IT infrastructure and applications.
  • Deep understanding of financial technology applications and platforms with a focus on security and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
